Drawing is the manifestation of immediate thought on paper. Choices are continuously made in dialogue with intuition and agenda. Regardless of the artist's style, level of detail, etc., any drawing can contain one or more important messages. It is precisely this strong value that has made drawing my primary tool as an artist.


I don't do sketches as I find the honesty and immediateness in the very first take interesting and appealing. An initial intention is [often] present before the first pencil stroke, but never have I had the slightest idea of the final outcome. During the process, the initial intention might be grafted or even eroded as more elements are put to paper, as I seek to create unique bonds between the touched topics.
